Work Note:

After getting divorced I started to visit my sister up in Denver Colorado mostly to just get out of San Antonio for a minute, also to see my sister. It was a healing time and so wonderful to be around family. I remember I always find round trip tickets for $50 and would go up 3-4 times a year.

On one of those trips we went up to the red rocks and walked the trails. I love this picture. It connects me to those healing times and reminds me how much nature has been part of that healing journey as well. Always goin on walks and getting grounded and present. On my walks I would always repeat out loud, “I’m alive right now.” is one of the ground phrases I found in a book “peace is every step” which I still use to this day. It helps me return to the present moment. It is a practice I use every day.
